After competing in high school and college cross country and track & field, Rosalie and her husband Tom spent many years coaching a variety of youth sports; including soccer, basketball, slow and fast pitch softball, and baseball. They also coached track & field and cross country for a total of 10 years at Crestwood High School. While at Crestwood, Rosalie and Tom used their professional coaching skills to lead several athletes to the state tournament, including several individual championships and one team championship.

Rosalie and Tom continue to actively train and race in a variety of event areas including running, triathlons, cycling, and cross country skiing. Rosalie was named Masters Runner of the Year by RunOhio Newspaper in 2011, 2014 and 2015.  In the fall of 2014, she competed for Team Ohio at the USATF Master's National Cross Country Meet in Carmel, Indiana and the Club Cross Country Nationals in Bethelem, PA.  In September of 2019, she ran the Erie Marathon and qualified for the 2020 Boston Marathon!  Tom and Rosalie are also sponsored by Team Lake Effect in Broadview Heights for cycling. Tom is an expert mountain biker and cyclocross racer, while Rosalie just enjoys biking and competing at the beginner and sport category levels.

Rosalie and Tom have two children, Josh and Bridget. Josh was a two time conference champion and a two time state cross country qualifier while at Crestwood High School. He competed in cross country at the NCAA D1 level while at Bowling Green State University.  Since graduation he has competed in triathalons, cycling events, rowing events, and even the marathon in Athens Greece!

Bridget was a six time state champion while at Crestwood, leading the girls team to their first ever team state championship in 2006. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University as a twelve time NCAA qualifier, a ten time All American, the 2010 NCAA Champion in the 3000m Steeplechase, and she holds numerous school records. She has qualified to compete in Steeplechase for Team USA on four different occasions: Once at the under-23 year old NACAC games in Mexico in 2008, twice at the World Championships (Berlin, Germany in 2009 and Daegu, South Korea in 2011), and once in the Olympics in London, England in 2012!  As a professional athlete, she realized the benefits of massage on a regular basis.  Bridget recently earned her massage therapy license and is living and working in Eugene, OR.

Interestingly, the whole family competed in the 2015 Warrior Dash at Clays Park, Ohio, where all four of them finished in the top 3 earning a trip to the World Championships of the Warrior Dash in Pulaski, Tennessee.  Bridget won the overall women's event!

In keeping with their love of the outdoors and living a healthy lifestyle, Tom and Rosalie own and operate Butternut Hill Farm, a certified tree farm.  They organically grow as much of their own food as possible and maintain trails for walking, biking and skiing.  They plant and tend to thousands of trees, some of which are used to reforest the land, while others are grown for Cut-Your-Own Christmas trees.
